As the campaign begins the world is in a time of peace. The nations of Shardina currently have no intentions of going to war with one another. Hopes run high and trade is good.
There are always the usual hiccups, but a truce has been called between the two greatest superpowers in the world: Helmsford and Sorcinia.
Though peace has reigned for last decade or so, war is inevitable. How long before some political upheaval? Only the seers can say.
